Going into business for yourself is a monumental challenge on a good day. Without the support and understanding of your family and friends, it can be almost impossible. Finding a balance between work and family is one of the most important things a new business owner can do for themselves.
Every situation is unique, but there are a few things all business owners have in common. We own a business that requires our attention, time and money. We have friends and family that care about us and need our attention and time. If you have a spouse and children, they'll need your money too!
Finding a balance that works for everyone is difficult, but it can be done. Consider bringing someone else in to help with the things that you don't want to do, don't have the knowledge or skill to do, or simply take too much time away from more important areas of your life. Time management and prioritizing are skills that are essential for small business owners.
